Outsourcing of locomotive traction
The service has been specially developed for industrial enterprises and it provides for transfer of in-plant railway logistics functions to Astana Railways for fulfillment.
The “Master Contract” or “Outsourced Locomotive Traction” service exempts the company from non-core functions, decreases the costs for railway facilities and transport infrastructure maintenance, and improves the quality of service.
Astana Railways offers shunting diesel locomotives for leasing either with a crew (or without a crew), with fuel and lubricants (without fuel and lubricants).
The Company has about 30 units of up-to-date shunting diesel locomotives of TEM series, including the modern TEM-18DM on its balance.
Diesel locomotives are regularly subject to maintenance and are kept at the high technical level, in accordance with the required safety and engineering status standards. All cars are equipped with GPS with fuel consumption sensors.
Shunting locomotives, which passed the scheduled maintenance and current repairs, equipped with all necessary safety devices, have the right to be used on public railways of “NC “KTZ” JSC.
